This is the August post of our new series: Things We Don’t Like. In this series, we will discuss things we, in fact, do not like. This is a heavily biased post that will be negatively reviewing things that didn’t quite make the cut for the “I like this” cluster in our heads.
Things We Didn’t Like in August:
- Smashburger. Overpriced, uninspired, and employees have to recite a paragraph about their online survey before you are free to go get your purchased item. (3/10)
- Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 5. It was kind of lame. Everyone just got to their destinations quickly, and nothing major happened. All these re-encounters are taking place and it feels like it’s not a big deal. I didn’t like it. (5/10)
- Dry chicken. I bought frozen chicken and forgot to de-thaw it beforehand, so I just put the frozen pieces on the pan. It turned out rather dry and burnt (I wish Gordon Ramsey was there to see it). I didn’t like it. (5/10)
- Asking your friend who is sleeping on your inflatable bed “hey can you turn off the lights, please”, to which he replies “I can”, but doesn’t actually turn off the lights. Thanks, Patrick. (6/10)
- EA Sports. To the game. Can I just play the game without signing up for the damn online thing? (4.5/10)
- Insurance ads. Try to watch Shark Tank in CNBC for ten minutes without getting at least two different life insurance ads. Give me a call if you witness this miracle. (3.5/10)
- Insurance. Can you, like, actually cover something? Actually, you probably do, I am just lucky enough not to have needed you yet. Nonetheless, you are bad. (3.4/10)
- The Whole North Korea thing. Scary, and hopefully everything is resolved peacefully. Really scary stuff. We didn’t like that. (0/10)
- Being asked to perform favors that you don’t actually want to, but feel socially obligated to do. Friendship. (6/10)
- Having your brother allegedly defecate, clog the toilet, and then realize you don’t have a plunger. See below. (2/10)
